The personal protective equipment (PPE) supply is a moving target for the medical community across the nation. The Fuse Breakers responded to a request for face shields by a New York cardiology group in May by shipping a ton of 3D printed face shields to them. The Fuse Breakers then redesigned the face shield after feedback and donated more face shields to the Asian Community Center of Sacramento, the Carlton Senior Living Facility in Elk Grove, a pediatric clinic in Elk Grove, and a physician hospitalist group in Sacramento.
Harrison Chu, our CEO, was invited to share the experience and introduce 3D printing to the students of the Diversity Camp at the California Northstate University School of Medicine on July 31, 2020.
